Ariella

Ariella came to us 11/2/2014 from a local shelter.  She was one of four orange tabby female kittens who were on their way to being flushed down the toilet by the husband of the woman who found them.  We were asked to quarantine them because they all originally tested positive for FIV.  We took all four of them in for quarantine until their maternal antibodies cleared.  Of the four Ariella was the most fearful.  At retesting they all were negative for FIV and soon would be on their way to finding homes.  Ariella went to a foster in hopes of helping to get her more socialized.  We learned things did not workout for Ariella at the foster and they were going to put her outside in the barn next to a busy highway.  She was labeled aggressive and not adoptable.  We immediately requested Ariella's return to us as we thought throwing her outside would be horrible given how fearful she was. Our request was granted and Ariella is now in a safe place and she is thriving.  She is still quite quirky, but she loves to trot around you and jump on your lap and have her belly rubbed.  She likes her nickname Elly May and with her corkscrew tail she is just too adorable!
